We are a collaborative alliance of the County Offices of Education, Community College,  Workforce Investment Boards and local schools and businesses in Lake, Mendocino, Sonoma, Marin, Napa and Solano Counties.  Our goal is to create a regional approach to Career Pathways that inspire students through high-quality experiences in school and in professional workplace settings, engage more employers in education, and provide the region with the focused, diverse and highly-qualified workforce needed for a vibrant economy.


  • The California Career Pathway Trust will invest $15 million over the next five years

  • $10 million in Business and Community Partnerships; cash and in kind contributions

  • The NCCPA partnership includes:

    • SIX County Offices of Education: Lake, Marin, Mendocino, Napa, Solano, Sonoma

    • FIVE Community Colleges: College of Marin, Mendocino-lake Community College, Napa Valley College, Santa Rosa Junior College, Solano Community College

    • FIVE Workforce Investment Boards: Lake/Napa, Marin, Mendocino, Solano, Sonoma

  • NCCPA includes 165 employers and community partners

  • NCCPA provides services and support to 22 districts throughout the region

  • NCCPA career pathways represent EIGHT Industry Sectors with SIXTEEN pathways

  • NCCPA will provide information/education to empower students, parents, teachers, and counselors

  • NCCPA will work with all stakeholders to diversify funding streams, building a strong financial sustainability model 


The NCCPA is unique in fostering cross-sector collaboration in the North Bay region, bringing together school districts, colleges and employers to effect real change for the benefits of students, employers, our economy and our community. We have the opportunity to fundamentally transform education, making it more engaging and relevant for young people, and ensuring that students graduate from high school with the knowledge they need to transition successfully into postsecondary, and to reach their full potential.
